3.1 Decision Status of Planning Applications
Considered as a final decision, whereby permission to initiate implementation of development is released formally with conditions.
Considered as a final decision with rationale for refusal, against which appeal can be made to the Planning Authority’s Appeal Board.
Not a final decision. This decision is taken when the proposal is first considered and is generally found to be acceptable. However, comments from referral agencies are awaited. Approval in principle can change based on feedback.
Not a final decision. Status is given to applications when feedback from the referral agencies is awaited.
Withdrawn applications do not receive a final decision as they have been removed from consideration.
