Approved
An Approved decision signifies a final verdict, where formal permission is granted to begin the implementation of the proposed development. This approval is issued with specific conditions attached, which must be adhered to during the development process.
Next: Refused →Refused
Refused decisions are final and signify that permission has not been granted. The refusal includes a rationale detailing the reasons for rejection. However, applicants may appeal the decision to the Planning Authority’s Appeal Board.
Approved in Principle
Approved in Principle is not a final decision. It is granted when the initial review of the proposal suggests it is generally acceptable, but feedback from referral agencies is still pending. It may also be issued when minor revisions to the proposal are required before final approval.
Deferred
Deferred means no final decision has been made. This status is applied when feedback from referral agencies is pending. The application is revisited once the necessary information is received.
Withdrawn
Withdrawn applications are not granted any final decision. Withdrawals are typically initiated by agents or developers when they wish to submit a new proposal. Applications may also be automatically withdrawn if agents fail to provide required information or amendments within six weeks. Withdrawn applications can be reinstated upon payment of a reinstatement fee.
Resubmission
Resubmission occurs when agents are required to submit revised drawings or documents to address issues raised during the review process. These new documents replace the originally submitted versions and will be re-evaluated based on the necessary changes.
